1985
Castillo, L.S. | Gerpacio, A.L. | Zamora, R.G.
No significant differences were observed in number of feeding days to attain slaughter weight, average daily gain and feed efficiency among the pigs from weanling to finishing. No significant differences were also observed in the carcass considering some parameters except in loin eye area. Mean sensory scores and cooking losses of roasted pork were not significantly different. Flavor and general acceptability were all the same. High level feeding of coconut by-products resulted to satisfactory pig performance and substantial savings in corn and soybean oil meal. However, treating copra meal with either chemical enzymes or microorganisms is not recommended
