Calilung, V.C.J. (University of the Philippines at Los Banos, College, Laguna (Philippines). Dept. of Entomology)
One year of collecting yielded 59 vials of aphids from 10 bamboo species. The collection sites included some towns of five provinces, namely, Laguna, Quezon, Pampanga, La Union, and Ilocos Norte. Ten aphid species were identified from the collection which include five new records, namely, Astegopteryx tambusifoliae (Takahashi), Astegopteryx insularis (van der Goot), Astegopteryx liukulinensis Tarn, Pseudoregma alexanderi (Takahashi), and Pseudoregma pseudomontana (Takahashi). The bamboos from which the ten aphid species were collected are new host plant records including the host plants of Ceratoglyphina bambausae van der Goot and Glyphinaphis bambusae van der Goot
