Pareuchaetes pseudoinsulata, a voracious leaf-eating moth, was discovered to feed on wild growths of Chromolaena odorata under coconut groves and along roads in Palawan [Philippines]. The distribution of the insect was observed to be isolated, but population density was high in the infested areas.
