The disclosure herein relates to a group of 2-haloacetamides characterized by having as substituents on the nitrogen atom acyclic a-alken-1-yl or 1-cyclo-alkan-1-yl and methyleneazole radicals. These compounds are useful as herbicides, exhibiting both pre- and post-emergence activities.
