1988
Mariscal, A.M. | Noriel, E.A. (Visayas State Coll. of Agriculture, Baybay, Leyte (Philippines). Philippine Root Crop Research and Training Center)
Yield and some agronomic characteristics of eleven accessions were evaluated to identify potential lines of arrowroot. Accessions 5, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 16 gave higher number of rhizomes average rhizome weight and consequently higher tonnage per hectare of produce. Yield obtained when the crop was harvested eight months after planting (MAP) was higher compared to the yield obtained at 7 MAP. On the other hand, rhizomes when used as planting materials have higher yield than suckers.
