Tropical cyclone and coastal inundation under enhanced greenhouse conditions

Various recent studies with finer resolution global and regional climate models, sensitivity studies with models of individual cyclones, and parametric studies are reviewed. These suggest that the future behavior of tropical cyclone remains an open questions, with changes of either sign possible. The paper also demonstrates the combined effect on coastal inundation of mean sea level rise and changes in storm surges due to tropical and extra-tropical cyclones. Impact studies highlights the importance of taking both of these factors into account, and also the highly site-specific nature of the problem
