The pathogenicity of 14 Metarhizium anisopliae isolates against the rice bug, Leptocorisa oratorius Fabr. was evaluated under greenhouse condition. Based on LC50 and LT50 values, the three most virulent isolates arranged in decreasing order of virulence were: TIAONG (1.39 x 10 to the sixth power), DRC (3.5 x 10 to the sixth power) and VISCA (6.42 x 10 to the sixth power) conidia/ml. These isolates gave LT50's of 4 days for TIAONG and 5.7 days for DRC and VISCA. Mortality of adult L. oratorius exposed to be a 1 x 10 to the eighth power conidia/ml commenced on the third day after exposure (DAE) and gave 90, 80, and 73 percent mortality after 8 days exposure to TIAONG, DRC and VISCA, respectively. TIAONG isolates consistently showed high degree of virulence against L. oratorius
