The effectiveness of different VAM fungi for enhancing growth of pepper were observed in pot and field experiments. In pot experiment, mycorrhizal inoculation significantly increased percentage germination of pepper under glasshouse conditions. All plants were more vigorous, healthier and taller as compared to uninoculated plants. Under field conditions, percentage survival of plants was increased by mycorrhizal fungi. They were more vigorous and healthier than their uninoculated counterparts. Glomus fasciculatum and Mykovam-inoculated plants had higher yield than uninoculated and Glomus mosseae-inoculated plants
