Twelve cows in mid-lactation received 4 dietary treatments of varying levels of ipil-ipil (Leucaena leucocephala) leaf meal (ILM) and dried pou2048ltry manure (DPM), the control ration containing neither ILM nor DPM. Each cow underwent four 24-day feeding periods to rotationally receive the 4 rations in an RCB [randomized complete block] design. The control ration was found to have significantly higher in vitro digestibility than the 3 test rations. No significant differences were observed in nutrient intake, body weight changes and income over feed cost. Likewise, insignificant differences were found on milk production, composition and quality as a result of treatment. The data suggests that DPM and ILM can be used at levels of 10 to 20% and 10 to 13% of dry matter, respectively, in corn silage-based complete rations for lactating cows having passed peak milk produc
