Show more [+] Less [-]English. Indoxacarb is a novel oxadiazine insecticide and exhibits excellent insecticidal activity against lepidopterous insects. Neurotoxicological studies have shown that indoxacarb bioactivated N-decarbomethoxyllated metabolite in insects, which acts on the inactivated state of the sodium channel and disrupts nerve-impulse transmission. Recent studies have revealed that insects have high potential in developing resistance to indoxacarb. This review introduced the progresses in toxi cology of indoxacarb at home and abroad, including biological activity, mechanisms of action, and resistance.
