The PISQUE Project in Ecuador aims at defining management methods and solutions as regards irrigation, mechanization, development and economics. The author describes the project's organization and the institution concerned. The project is running an area at 2 500 m altitude with a rural population of 7 300 people and a potentially irrigable surface of 13 385 hectares.
