Socio-econometric Analysis and Choice of Peasant Alternatives to Food Insecurity in Niger: Case of the Tolkobeye Village Cluster. The objective of this study is to analyze the different responses to the food crises in Niger's rural areas, in particular the village cluster in the Tolkoboye region, in order to determine the most efficient alternatives for households with a view to greatly counteracting potentially shocks in a sustainable way. A functional method was used to measure the degree and meaning of correlations between household incomes and the various alternatives before and during the crisis. The result shows that not all strategies are applicable in all circumstances because they can lead to perverse effects and jeopardize the survival of the household. However, there are a few strategies that significantly improve household welfare.
