The present report deals with some selected problems of plant protection, particularly concerning the organization of the administration and the responsibility for the prosecution and punishment of public disobedience. Furtheron questions of extension with respect to the public opinion, the minor-use pesticide applications, the missing data base of registered plant protectants, and the groundwater protection are discussed. At last some regulations of the new Plant Protection Act are considered, particularly those, which are of special relevance to the plant protection administration
