The importance of grain legumes (field peas and beans) as a farm produced protein source will increase considerably. Possibilities for preserving and storing these products are becoming more important. Preservation with propionic acid (LUPROSIL) can be an alternative to drying on many farms. It is an inexpensive and highly efficient method, which has the further advantage over drying, that together with preservation, the indication treatment can be simultaneously carried out.
