The biological effects of sublethal doses of Bacillus thuringiensis var. galleriae HD-234 and length of exposure time on the larvae of the greasy cutworm Agrotis ypsilon were assessed. Retardation in larval and pupal development, reduction in egg production of the moths, percentage of their emergence fertility of the eggs, longevity of the moths were observed together with significant reduction in pupal weight and appearance of deformities in both pupae and moth populations. Prolongation of the generation period of A. ypsilon occurred due to exposure to sublethal doses of B. thuringiensis but in varying degrees in correlation with the time of exposure
