Bei der Zusammenarbeit britischer und bayerischer Zuchtverbaende stand im Vordergrund die Kombinationsmoeglichkeit des hohen bayerischen Standards zur Ermittlung von Eigenleistungs- und Nachkommendaten in der Fleckviehzucht und die Erfahrung der englischen Fleckviehzuechter in der Fleischrinderproduktion. Es wurde ein gemeinsames Zuchtprogramm erarbeitet. Besonderes Interesse galt dabei dem seuchenhygienischen Status. Eine grosse Hilfe im Programm ist die Technik des Embryotransfers.
