English. In the past 10 years data bases for facts in the agricultural field were established in the former GDR with the help of scientific facilities. Some of these data bases are shortly introduced and their creation is proved here. Eventually recommendations for acting are derived.

German. In den vergangenen 10 Jahren wurden insbesondere durch wissenschaftliche Einrichtungen in der ehemaligen DDR auch Faktendatenbanken im Agrarbereich aufgebaut. Es werden einige dieser Datenbanken kurz vorgestellt und deren Erhalt begruendet. Abschliessend werden Handlungsempfehlungeabgeleitet.
