German. Untersucht wurde der Einsatz von Pflanzenoelen und deren Derivaten (Esteroele) in Motorenoelen fuer die Umlaufschmierung (Viertaktmotor). Erfolgreich wurde ein umweltvertraegliches Hochleistungsmotorenoel auf Basis gesaettigter Ester in Verbindung mit einer zink- und polymerfreien Additivierung entwickelt. Des weiteren wurde ein Motorenschmierungskonzept entwickelt, das den Einsatz von unveraendertem Raps- oder Sonnenblumenoel in Motorenoelen erlaubt. Die geringe Alterungsbestaendigkeit von Pflanzenoelen wird durch staendiges Auffrischen ausgeglichen. Ohne Beeintraechtigung der Verbrennungsgase, wird das anfallende Gebrauchtoel dem Treibstoff zugemischt und mitverbrannt.
