English. This CD-ROM covers all the texts and documents from Maurice Champion's book "Floods in France from the 6th century to today" published circa 1860 (6 volumes). This work is unique in its geographical scope (all France) and its historical references. It is composed of chronicles and the events are presented without a contradictory approach. It is more a work of literature than of science that Cemagref is reediting in electronic form. Our aim is to assist the development of a culture and a history of risk. The programme allows the reader to look for information by consulting the works page by page or by carrying out simple or multi-criteria searches on locations, dates and rivers in order to study the floods.

C'est plus une ouvre littéraire qu'une ouvre scientifique que le Cemagref réédite sous forme électronique, dans le but de développer une mémoire et une culture du risque.
