By means of a Matlab code, an algorithm has been developed to study the microwave spectral signature of naturalsurfaces. Using L-MEB model, a sensitivity study of the main factors affecting the spectral signature, thus studying the dependence of surface brightness temperature on its properties and observation conditions such as for example, soil moisture, soil roughness, LAI, penetration depth, dielectric constant, microwave frequency, observation angle, polarization (vertical -V-, horizontal -H-, normalized difference polarization index -NDPI-, polarization ratio), etc. This work has a direct teaching application since it graphically shows the microwave brightness temperature behaviour as a function of all that factors that influence it.
