English. The document entitled "Continental steep slope accumulation. Dynamics and mesohabitat" summarizes a course for students majoring in geology at the university of Bordeaux. P. BERTRAN, a geologist, took care of this document's coodination . This document is edited by the BRGM, handbook and methods collection. The chapter II.9 describes the intense solid transport in mountain stream phenomena as it is understood by the ETNA unit of the CEMAGREF at Grenoble through the central phenomena of the torrential dune and introducing the concepts of maximal capacity of transport, pavage... Then, it is compared to landscapeshape geologists' point of view and to their conclusions about the nature of generating phenomena when they analyse torrential and stream accumulation.

French. Le document de synthèse "Dépôts de pente continentaux. Dynamique et faciès" est un cours destiné aux étudiants en géologie de l'université de Bordeaux. La coordination est prise en charge par P. Bertran, géologue, et le document est édité par le BRGM, collection manuels et méthodes. Le chapitre II.9 décrit le phénomène du charriage tel qu'il est compris dans l'unité ETNA, du Cemagref de Grenoble, à travers le phénomène central de la dune torrentielle, avec introduction des concepts de capacité maximale de transport, pavage, etc. Puis il est confronté à la vision des géomorphologues et aux déductions sur la nature des phénomènes générateurs qu'ils font lors de l'analyse des dépôts torrentiels et fluviaux.
