A major aim in modern grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) breeding programs is the introgression of resistance genes along with desired traits for better adaptation to climate change. Developmental stages affect many physiological processes in grapevine like fruitfulness and berry quality. The shifts of phenological stages observed in the context of climate change increased the impact of these traits on the selection of new varieties. The main objective of this study was to assess the genetic variability of phenological stages in interspecific grapevine hybrids and evaluate the possible adaptation of these genotypes to future climatic conditions.
