Efecto edáfoclimático en el desarrollo de módulos de agroforestería y silvopastoril en la Llanura Costera de Nayarit, México | Edafoclimatic effect on the development of agroforestry and silvopastoril modules in Nayarit’s Coastal Plain, Mexico

Los sistemas agroforestales en América Latina, particularmente en México han destacado. Nayarit tiene potencial para el impulso agropecuario-forestal donde las especies leñosas interactúan con otros componentes (cultivos anuales, perennes y animales) en un sistema integral. El objetivo fue evaluar la adaptación y desarrollo de especies agrosilvopastoriles (amapa, caoba, cedro, guanacaste, melina, paulonia, primavera y teca) intercaladas al sorgo en un ecosistema costero salitroso. En un lote mixto, los mismos árboles más cuatro forrajeros: guaje, guajillo, cacahuananche y capomo asociados a las leguminosas herbáceas frijolillo y mucuna y pasto Guinea. El estudio se realizo en ejido Puerta de Mangos de Santiago Ixcuintla, Mexico. Se midieron las siguientes variables forestales: altura de planta y diámetro de tallo y copa, mientras que en las especies forrajeras: altura de las plantas y rendimiento de biomasa. Los resultados obtenidos para altura de planta en las especies maderables indican grupos diferenciados de mayor crecimiento (P>0,05) entre tratamientos. La diferencia grupal también se mostró en el diámetro de tallo y copa, altura de la primera rama y número de ramas y hojas. El sorgo obtuvo rendimiento inestable. Se atribuye al efecto desfavorable del agua saturada en suelo arcilloso con drenaje lento la extinción de primavera, prevalencia del barrenador de tallo en cedro y al crecimiento y producción restringida del grano de sorgo. La ubicación más baja del lote mixto provocó mayor pérdida de plantas maderables y la desaparición de paulonia y primavera. Igual aconteció con las leguminosas rastreras, con sólo vestigios del pasto. Excepto capomo, los otros árboles forrajeros toleraron encharcamiento. El rendimiento de biomasa del Guaje superó estadísticamente al resto, pero con diferencias productivas entre épocas.

Agroforestry systems in Latin Americas have been important, especially in Mexico. Nayarit has a great potential for the farming-forestry development, where woody species interact with traditional culture components (annual and perennial plant cultures, and animals) bringing in an integrated system. The objective was to evaluate the adaptation and development of eight agrosilvopastoral species (amapa, mahogany, cedar, guanacaste, melina, paulonia, primavera, and teak) intercropped with sorghum in a sandy coastal ecosystem. In a mixed plot, the same tree species plus four fodder trees: guaje, guajillo, cacahuananche, and capomo associated with two herbaceous legumes: frijolillo and mucuna, and guinea grass. Study was conducted at Puerta de Mangos de Santiago Ixcuintla, Mexico. The following forestry variables were measured: plant height and stem and crown diameter, while in the fodder plants, height and biomass yield were measured. The results obtained for plant height in the timber groups indicated differentiated groups of fastest growing (P>0.05) among treatments. The difference between groups also showed for stem diameter and cup, height to first branch, number of branches and leaves; Sorghum yield was unstable. It was attributed to the negative effect of water-saturated on low drainage clay soil the primavera extinction, prevalence of stem borer in cedar, and maturity and low yield of grain sorghum. The mixed plot located in a lower portion caused higher loss of timber trees and disappearing of paulonia and primavera. Same results occurred with the creeping legumes and grass. Except capomo, the other trees tolerated floods. Biomass yield of guaje surpassed statistically the rest, but with productive differences between seasons.
