Study on the use of sheep serum post vaccination of three phase larva (L3) Haemonchus contortus worm irradiated inoculated to rabbit

English. Study has been done on rabbit to find out the effect of giving sheep serum post vaccination with irradiated gastric worm challenged with infective H. contortus larva. Forty eight local rabbit divided into 3 groups: K, V1 and V2, each group consists of 4 rabbits, by using 4 times repetition. K = group which only inoculated 10.000 L3 H. contortus infective. V1 = group which twice serum inoculated with 21 days interval, inoculation dose were 0.3 ml serum each, and challenged with 10.000 L3 H. contortus infective. V2 = group which 3 times serum inoculated with 21 days interval, inoculation dose 0.3 ml serum each and challenged with 10.000 L3 H. contortus infective. Design model used with Completely Random Design (RAL), Duncan was used as inter treatment test. Parameter observed are total protein fraction, larva L4 content in gaster, cumulative weight gain, and death percentage rabbits. Result of study showed that on average parameter total protein fraction on K = 2.0086 +- 0.2353 mg/dl, V1 = 3.2781 +- 0.9227 mg/dl dan V2 = 5.5035 +-1.6794 mg/dl. Average parameter L4 death showed on K = 10, V1 = 8, and V2 = 4, while L4 alive on K = 3, V1 = 1 and V2 = 0. Commutative Average parameter PCV value on K = 19.91 +- 1.24 percent, V1 = 27.31 +- 1.22 percent, and V2 = 35.71 +- 0.56 percent. Average parameter weight gain per week on K = 24.46 +- 0.74 g, V1 = 26.04 +- 2.23 g, and V2 = 28.93 +- 1.67 g. Percentage average parameter death rate on K = 37.5 +- 14.46 percent, V1 = 18.75 +- 23.90 percent, and V2 = 0 +- 0 percent. The conclusion of the study result was serum inoculation on rabbits have positive result on reducing anaemia rate, elevating weight gain, reduce death percentage, reduced L4 alive content in gaster, and able to elevate immunity respond content that is total protein fraction on rabbits

Suatu percobaan telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian serum domba pasca vaksinasi cacing lambung radiasi pada kelinci ditantang dengan larva H. contortus infektif. Sejumlah 48 ekor kelinci lokal dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok K, V1 dan V2, masing-masing terdiri dari 4 ekor, dengan menggunakan 4 ulangan. K = kelompok yang hanya diinokulasi 10.000 L3 H. contortus infektif. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pada peubah rataan total fraksi protein pada K = 2.0086 +- 0.2353 mg/dl, V1 = 3.2781 +- 0.9227 mg/dl dan V2 = 5.5035 +-1.6794 mg/dl. Peubah rataan L4 mati pada K = 10, V1 = 8, dan V2 = 4, sedangkan L4 hidup pada K = 3, V1 = 1 dan V2 = 0. Peubah rataan kumulatif nilai PCV pada K = 19.91 +- 1.24 persen, V1 = 27.31 +- 1.22 persen, dan V2 = 35.71 +- 0.56 persen. Peubah rataan pertambahan bobot badan perminggu pada K = 24.46 +- 0.74 g, V1 = 26.04 +- 2.23 g, dan V2 = 28.93 +- 1.67 g. Peubah rataan persentase kematian pada K = 37.5 +- 14.46 persen, V1 = 18.75 +- 23.90 persen, dan V2 = 0 +- 0 persen. Dari hasil percobaan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa inokulasi serum pada kelinci mempunyai kelebihan yaitu menurunkan tingkat anemia, meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan, menurunkan persentase kematian, meningkatkan kematian L4 yang hidup dalam lambung, dan dapat meningkatkan kandungan tanggap kebal yaitu total fraksi protein pada hewan kelinci
