Response of citrus cv. Rough Lemon to CVPD (Citrus Vein Phloem Degeneration) pathogen inoculated with several diseased plant tissue

A research was conducted to study the best inoculation of CVPD pathogen by grafting of budding of diseased plant tissues on citrus of cv. Rough Lemon. The experiment was carried out in the green house of the Faculty of Agriculture Padjadjaran University from July 1995 to December 1996. Fully Randomized Desingn were used, arranged in a factorial pattern, and replicated five times. Results of the experiment showed that inoculation of CVPD pathogen by grafting or budding of diseased plant tissues on Rough Lemon citrus gave the fastest incubation period, whereas the highest of chlorotic leaves, symptomized branches, protein content, carbohydrate content, and starch content were obtained from plants inoculated by grafting with infected shoot tip
