[Performance of chlorotics resistant groundnut genotype from ICRISAT in base Alfisol soil]

English. The chlorotic symptom on groundnut planted on Alfisol basis areas was strongly assumed due to lack of iron (Fe). The symptom significantly reduced pod yield and it was spreading wider. The objective of the research was to evaluate the performance of some of Fe tolerant lines from ICRISAT under Fe stress on Alfisol basis in Indonesia. The experiment was held in the green house of RILET, Malang, East Java, Indonesia. The Alfisol soil. The experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design, with 8 replications, and all ten promissing lines were grown on two types of Alfisol soil. The experiment found that the performance of genotypes tested for chlorotics on Alfisol basis vary from light upto heavy in chlorotics symptom. It could be heavier in high soil pH, and lower content of P, Fe and S. Pod yield was highly correlated with the chlorotic intensity, which occur between 30 to 60 days after planting. ICGX 960132 tolerant chlorotics on Alfisol basis pH 7.9-8.0, Fe soil content (2.49-3.26), S (27.5-186.6 ppm of SO4) and P (4.34-27.0). K/SHM2-88-B-7 tolerant to chlorotics on Alfisol with pH (7.9), Fe (2.49 ppm), S (27.5 ppm of SO4) and P (4.34 ppm). Show more [+] Less [-]unknown. Gejala klorosis yang sering dijumpai pada tanaman kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) pada tanah Alfisol basis diduga karena kahat hara besi (Fe). Di daerah tersebut klorosis merupakan masalah karena menurunkan hasil dan penyebarannya semakin meluas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi penampilan galur-galur toleran kahat hara besi asal ICRISAT pada tanah Alfisol basis di Indonesia. Percobaan dilaksanakan di rumah kaca Balitkabi, Malang pada dua jenis tanah Alfisol yang berasal dari daerah endemik klorosis di daerah Tuban. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 10 genotipe kacang tanah sebagai perlakuan dan 8 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keragaman genotipe kacang tanah untuk klorosis pada tanah Alfisol basis beragam dari gejala klorosis ringan hingga berat. Gejala klorosis semakin berat apabila pH tanah bertambah tinggi, dan kandungan P, Fe dan S bertambah rendah. Hasil polong kering berkorelasi erat dengan intensitas klorosis, terutama yang terjadi antara umur 30-60 hari. Kacang tanah ICGX 960132 memiliki toleransi terhadap klorosis di tanah Alfisol dengan pH 7,9-8,0, kandungan Fe (2,49-3,26 ppm), S (27,5-186,6 ppm SO4), dan P (4,34-27,0). Sedangkan K/SHM2-88-B-7 toleran klorosis pada tanah Alfisol dengan pH 7,9, kandungan Fe (2,49 ppm), S (27,5 ppm SO4) dan P (4,34 ppm).
