The process of increasing nutrient content of banana peels (Musa brachyarpa) by fermentation as broiler ration
1999
Mirnawati
The experiment was conducted to study the process of increasing nutrient content of banana peels throughout fermentation as broiler ration. The research was done using Completely Randomized Design in factorial 3 x 3 with two replications. The treatments were: Factor A (inoculum level), A1 = 3 gram/kg substrate, A2 = 5 gram/kg substrate, A3 = 7 gram/kg substrate and factor B (time of fermentation), B1 = 24 hours, B2 = 30 hours, B3 = 36 hours. Parameter observed were moisture, crude protein and crude fiber content. The interactions between inoculum level and time of fermentation were significantly different (P0.01) on crude protein and fiber content but moisture content were no significant (P0.01). The best inoculum level and time of fermentation was 5 gr/kg substrate for 24 hours
