[Utilization of multitemporal remote sensing data for monitoring coastal environment]

English. The objective of this work is to show how remote sensing data can be used for monitoring the developments/changes of coastal environment. The data used were the Landsat MSS images from the year 1972 to 1986. The analysis was based on multitemporal data and by overlaying the visually interpreted image of each year. The using of the Landsat MSS color composite image was better compared to band 5 and band 7 black and white images for the application in coastal environment monitoring. It was found that the coastal area increases in average about 0.94 square km per year, mangroves area tended to decrease, while fish pond tended to increase during the years. (Author's abstract)

Pemantauan ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan data penginderaan jauh terutama data Landsat MSS multitemporal untuk mengetahui perubahan/perkembangan kondisi lingkungan pantai sejak tahun 1972 sampai 1986 dengan cara overlay hasil interpretasi data visual setiap waktu perekaman. Dari hasil interpretasi data setiap band maupun komposit warna, untuk studi lingkungan pantai, yang paling baik adalah citra komposit warna disusul citra band 5 dan 7. Perubahan kenampakan yang menyolok di daerah delta Brantas, terutama adalah pertambahan luas daratan rata-rata sekitar 0.94 km2 tiap tahun, luas hutan bakau dari tahun ke tahun cenderung berkurang sedangkan jumlah kolam/tambak cenderung bertambah
