1992
Tonnek, S. | Cholik, F. (Balai Penelitian Perikanan Budidaya Pantai, Maros (Indonesia))
This experiment was aimed at knowing the fecundity, egg diameter and hatching rates of the ablated tiger prawn. The average fecundity for the first, second and third spawning were 264,800; 255,800 and 275,400 eggs, respectively. The average egg diameters were 274.1, 274.4 and 277.9 mum, and the hatching rates were between 75 to 89 percent, 35 percent to 80 percent and 0 to 20 percent, respectively. The average fecundity was not statistically significant (P0.05). The egg diameters and the hatching rates significantly differed in each spawning (P0.01).
