English. The diet of Fagonee showed a slightly perfect diet for rearing the larvae of cabbage webworm Crocidolomia binotalis. The survival rate of the larval stage in diamondback moth Plutella xylostella L. was only 17 percent when the diet of Hsiao was applied. The impact of releasing sub sterile insects conducted at Cangar, Batu, Malang showed the reduction of population about 39 percent. Based on the moth trapped by feromone trap in West Java showed that in the month of April during the year around the population of diamondback moth showed at the lowest stage

Sedang viabilitas larva P. xylostella yang dipelihara dengan media Hsiao hanya sekitar 17 persen. Pengaruh pelepasan serangga substeril di lahan yang terisolasi di daerah Cangar Batu, Malang menunjukkan reduksi populasi sebesar 39 persen. Selanjutnya menurut observasi yang dilakukan di Jawa Barat selama 1 tahun ternyata populasi yang terendah terjadi pada bulan April yang merupakan saat terbaik dimulainya pengamatan pengendalian hama ini dengan teknik serangga mandul
