Consumer demand for healthy food product and chemical nutrient-free increase year to year. The consumers also needed the high quality product of food that obtained from hydroponic system. It is necessary to conduct an experiment to decrease the chemical nutrient content in hydroponic system. The experiment tried to decrease the nitrogen concentration from chemical nutrient by using Azotobacter and Azospirillium inoculant in medium. The experiment was conducted in glass house with 3x4 factorial design, arranged in Completely Randomized Designed and three replications. Bacteria inoculation treatments as the first factor were no inoculation, Azotobacter inoculation, and Azospirillium inoculation. Nitrogen concentration as second factor were 100 percent, 50 percent, 25 percent, and 0 percent from recommendation or the same with 150 ppm, 75 ppm, 37,5 ppm, and 0 ppm. Nutrient composition in hydroponic used Tumanov recommendation. The experimental material used cucumber seeds, labanese variety and rice husk coal as medium. Actually, the results showed that bacteria inoculant could not exchanged nitrogen from chemical nutrient. Bacteria inoculants did not influence plant growth and yield. The decreasing of nitrogen concentration decreased plant growth and yield, however the decreasing of nitrogen concentration down to 50 percent increased on root growth and fruit weight per plant
