On the water quality of the open part of the Gulf of Finland and coastal waters of Estonia

The present study showed the pollution load on the Gulf of Finland to be about 380 000 t BOD7, 194 000 t Ntot, and 9000 t Ptot annually. Negative temperature (-0.1 C/a) and salinity (-0.1 PSU/a) trends in the deep waters of the Gulf of Finland are evident for the last 15 years.
