Erinevate anesteetikumide mõju Euroopa säga (Silurus glanis L.) uinutamisel

Kasvatatavate kalade elutsükli jooksul on mitmeid olukordi, kus kala töödeldakse ja tõstetakse ümber. Kahvamine, kaalumine, sorteerimine, vaktsineerimine, transport ja lõpuks tapmine on vesiviljelustingimustes sagedased sündmused. Sellistes olukordades võib kalade heaolu tagamiseks olla vajalik anesteetikumide kasutamine (Zahl et al. 2011). Üks enim levinud kalade anesteetikume on MS-222, mida on laialdaselt uuritud ja kasutatakse igapäevaselt põhiliikidel. Teada on tänu sellele ka MS-222-e vähene mõju säga uinutamisel ja käitlemisel. Töö eesmärgiks on välja selgitada erinevate anesteetikumide sobivus säga noorkaladele ja leida optimaalne kontsentratsioonide vahemik uinutamisel. Kasutati 4 erinevat anesteetikumi: MS-222, bensokaiin, 2-fenoksüetanool ja Propiscin. Testiti kõikide anesteetikumide viite erinevat kontsentratsiooni efektiivse annuse väljaselgitamiseks. Minimaalne ja maksimaalne kontsentratsioon valiti vastavalt eelnevalt avaldatud uuringutele (Velisek et al. 2007, Weber et al. 2009; Gökçek ja Öğretmen 2011, Gökçek et al. 2016). Igas kontsentratsiooni juures kasutati nelja säga ja kõiki kontsentratsioone testiti üks kord. Katsetest säga noorkalade peal uinutamisega MS-222-ga on selgelt näha, et see anesteetikum säga peal ei tööta. Paremad anesteetikumid oleks bensokaiin ja etüleenglükool eeter.
Show more [+] Less [-]There are many situations during the lifecycle of a fish when they are processed and lifted. Picking, weighing, sorting, vaccinating, transporting and finally killing are frequent events in aquaculture conditions. In such situations, the use of anaesthetics may be required to ensure the well-being of the fish (Zahl et al. 2011). One of the most common anaesthetics in fish farming is MS-222, which has been widely studied and used daily on the main species. As a result, the little effect of MS-222 caused on catfish is known. The aim of this study is to identify the anaesthetics suitable and the effect of different concentrations on sedation for catfish. Four different anaesthetics were used: MS-222, benzocaine, 2-phenoxyethanol and Propiscin. Five different concentrations of each anaesthetic were tested for an effective dose. Minimum and maximum concentrations were selected according to previously published studies (Velisek et al. 2007, Weber et al. 2009; Gökçek and Öğretmen 2011, Gökçek et al. 2016). Four repeats were used in each repetition and all concentrations were tested once. Testing with MS-222 showed that this anaesthetic does not work on catfish. Better anaesthetics would be benzocaine and 2-phenooxyethanol.
