Symptoms assembling ringspot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola (Duby) Lindau) were found on leaves of cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata) in several cabbage fields on Funen in the autumn 1993. A reliable diagnosis of the disease was made when asci and ascospores in thickwalled perithecia were seen in leaves collected in the fields in November 1993. In this paper history hostplants disease cyclus morphology and epidemiology as well as control of the disease is discussed on basis of litterature studies
