The regulation of products for biological pest control in Sweden encompasses viruses, microorganisms and macroorganisms like insects, mites and nematodes. The latter group ("beneficials") is discussed in the paper. There is some concern that proposed registration fees and subsequent annual fees will restrict the future use of biological and integrated control in horticulture, as many products have a limited market and will have difficulty competing with chemicals if prices are drastically raised
