Disinfection in zoonoses control

A review of the most important preventive measures concerning the application of disinfectants in zoonoses control, are reported. The degree of the killing action produced by the disinfectant on a microbial cell and consequently, the efficiency of disinfection depends on a number of factors. The most important among them are: 1) biological peculiarities of the microorganism, 2) bactericidal properties of the disinfectant, 3) properties of the medium where the microorganism contacts the chemical, 4) temperature of the solution 5) concentration of the solution, 6) application rates, 7) duration of disinfection.
