A total of 102 mice Mus musculus were collected from various localities in the city of Thessaloniki and examined for metazoan endo- and ecto-parasites. Sixty out of them (58.8%) were found to be infected with 7 different parasitic species; four worms, i.e. Hymenolepis diminuta (1.96%), Cysticercus fasciolaris (11.8%), Syphacia obvelata (47.1%) and Syphacia stroma (1.96%); and three arthropods, i.e. Myobia musculli (11.8%), Myocoptes musculinus (9.8%) and Leptopsylla segnis (3.9%). Four out of these parasites, i.e. H. diminuta, C. fasciolaris, S. obvelata and L. segnis, can parasitize to man or are potentially vectors of pathogenic agents to him
