Cell lines for growth of sheep viruses

Two ovine cell lines are described which were derived from sheep tissues and evaluated for ability to support virus growth as well as for reliability with long term culture. The cell line CSL 503 was shown to be potentially useful in local veterinary virology, and the testis cell line OT, while less extensively studied, shows equivalent potential value.
