Experimental vaccinia virus infection of horses [lesions]
1989
Studdert, M.J. (Melbourne Univ., Parkville (Australia). School of Veterinary Science)
The results of a study of the lesions produced by vaccinia virus, Gilliard strain, when inoculated into 3 yearling horses are briefly described. The skin lesions resemble the disease described as equine papular dematitis, and have similarities to the classic descriptions of horsepox and more recent descriptions or orthopoxvirus disease in horses.
