Testing of 3088 sera from 109 herds showed that 72 percent of herds had 1 or more positive reactions to either serovar pomona or serovar hardjo or both; 59 percent of herds were positive for serovar pomona and 46 percent were positive for serovar hardjo. Vaccination against leptospirosis was not being undertaken in any of the herds.
