Inhibited development of trichostrongylid worms in grazing cattle [larval development; seasonal effects]
1989
Fabiyi, J.P. | Copeman, D.B. (James Cook Univ. of North Queensland, Townsville (Australia))
Worms recovered from successive groups of tracer calves and from continuously grazed calves in lowland wet tropical conditions showed inhibition at the early fourth stage at the approach to and during the relatively dry season. Inhibition was minor and the population of inhibited worms was probably not of epidemiological significance. This is attributed to the overall mild climatic conditions of the area.
