Choat, J.H. | Clements, K.D. (James Cook Univ., Townsville (Australia). Dept. of Marine Biology)
From stomach-contents analysis, the diet of Odax pullus along the New Zealand coast was dominated by fucoid and laminarian algae, whereas O. acroptilus collected from the central New South Wales coast was a carnivore on small benthic invertebrates. Aplodactylus arctidens and Girella tricuspidata were facultative herbivores, with diets dominated by under-storey and epiphytic red algae.
