In nutrient solution, the most effective strains on an accession from Bali were CB3059 and CB3092; the most effective on an accession from the West Indies were CB3057 and CB3090. A soil experiment suggested that CB3090 should be used for the Bali accession. Strains from Sesbania and Macrotyloma were not effective on Gliricidia.
