Short-run substitution in the sheep and beef industries [Australia; price elasticities]

Estimates of price elasticities within a set of major variable inputs for the Australian beef and sheep industries are presented. A well-known input demand system is estimated from surveys. The substitution parameters derived from these estimates are presented and the implications are discussed.
