[Influence of some design parameters for solar energy captation in plastic greenhouses]

In order to determine the distance between greenhouses to avoid the shadows projected among them, a special methodology was developed. This methodology gives the shadow including the length and position in the horizontal plane during the day. Another methodology was formulated to establish the longitudinal axis position and roof inclination angle to produce the maximum direct solar radiation captation in plastic greenhouses with one-side and two-side roofs. This method calculated the direct solar radiation transmitted inside a greenhouse in different combinations of roof angle inclination and longitudinal axis positions.
