1991
Arroyo M, Eduardo Enrique
A trial was done on Winter Nelis pear trees. The treated trees were 10 years old, grafted on Quince A and formed in central leader. The applications were done in 3 dates, June 29th., July 18th. and July 28th. In each date, Hydrogen Cyanamide (HC) at 0%, 0.25% and 0.5% a.i., was applied mixed with Mineral Oil at 2% or 4%. As control, were considered trees without application and treated with 1.5% a.i. HC (normal spray used on pear trees). At bloom time, flower stages were followed, and determined the buds percentage which reached each stage. Sprays with Hydrogen Cyanamide mixed with Mineral Oil had the same effect on pear trees flowering advancement than 1.5% a.i. Hydrogen Cyanamide sprays, and the earlier sprays had the greatest effect on flowering advancement
