Spear growth strongly depends on environment's temperature; thus there should exist a correlation between yield and temperature. Yields of first five years of harvest of a factorial confunded trial (cultivar UC 72) are considered for a study of correlations among yields and mean weekly temperatures. Results indicate that for the first two years of harvest there are no associations between both parameters, existing, though, for the three years that follow, with a mean r of 0.87. Taking as basis the yields of those three years, the annual yield distribution is estimated in function of mean weekly temperature of ten years; the estimations obtained indicate that there is a gradual rise of the weekly yields, that starts with a mean weekly temperature of 9 deg C the first week of September, reaching its maximun weekly yield (aprox. 9.5% of the total annual yield) the last week of November, that is, the before before last week of harvest, with a mean weekly temperature slightly below 16 deg C
