[Agrophysical analysis of the development of Phaseolus vulgaris cultivar Fleetwood]
1990
Jimenez S, Patricia V.
In this work an agrophysical analysis of Phaseolus vulgaris cv Fleetwood is made to evaluate typical patterns of its development and growth. Besides, the possibility that the nitrogenous fertilization could alter such patterns, is investigated. The field experiment tried to obtain the corresponding phytometrical values; a continuous register of daily temperature has been taken as well as bibliographical information on the case has been compiled having in mind the incorporation to this analysis of the results obtained through other field experiences carried out in the central zone, too. The results were analyzed by the agrophysical procedure showing the following conclusions: a) Concerning its development it determined that: - The kidney bean phenometry, or, the phenologic course measurement establishing the ages of some of these events. - Its allometry or biomass proportion of an structure respecting the total biomass of the crop. b) Concerning its growth it is discerned that: -The standard curve of the growth distribution where the shown apogee (height) or greatest growth intensity (g* ) is presented at the 2/3 of its physiological age. It is established, through this information, that the crop harvest will be directly in proportion to its growth intensity that is shown or appears on that time. The nitrogenous fertilization does not disturb the standardized patterns respecting the physiological age. This information is considered as highly esteemed for an agronomic project as it allows the evaluation of the kidney bean seeding in different places and seasons, to analyze former conditions as well as to prevent probable harvests under defined climatic and phytotechnical conditions
