The lead contents of 182 samples of industrialized milk corresponding to 14 different commercial brands (13 samples per brand) was determined. The mean lead content was 0.134 ppm with a range from 0.026 to 0.416 ppm. Generally speaking, the average contents were inferior to the maximum allowed concentration (0.3 ppm) however 4 samples representing the 30.8% of the samples analyzed for one brand, have an average contents higher than this level (0.364 ppm)
