This Housing Sector Profile Study for Tunisia analyzes the functioning of housing delivery systems as currently practiced, with emphasis on urban housing, including identification of bottlenecks and other obstacles to adequate housing. Tunisia has one of the best records of any country in the MENA region in terms of urban upgrading, institutional framework, and programmes that target poor informal neighbourhoods. Ongoing issues in Tunisia are housing affordability, financing, and land scarcity.
